Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced EIA Project Manager to join our team in Bristol/Birmingham/South West & South Wales Offices. As a key member of our UK Environment Practice, you will play a critical role in shaping the way our clients think and enabling them to make better decisions.

The successful candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of all the technical expertise required for the preparation and management of EIAs and the environmental assessment of large infrastructure projects. You will work collaboratively with a range of technical specialists on a broad range of projects, lead and coordinate Environmental Impacts Assessments and related deliverables, work closely with clients, develop new areas of business and mentor others in the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading on the coordination and delivery of environmental work being undertaken by multi-disciplinary teams including EIA, options appraisals and environmental assessments;
  • Project managing teams of environmental professionals;
  • Responsibility for programme and commercial management aspects of projects including budget control;
  • Champion high standards of environmental performance within multidisciplinary engineering projects, influencing project development and delivering optimal environmental outcomes;
  • Undertake Continual Professional Development (CPD) in accordance with requirements of chosen professional institute;

Requirements:

  • Degree or Masters in an environmental or science subject;
  • Experience working on the delivery of EIAs for major infrastructure projects;
  • Strong report writing, verbal and presentation skills and able to review the work of others to ensure quality;
  • Be flexible, adaptable and prepared to take on new challenges, including working from other AtkinsRéalis or client office locations;

We offer a competitive salary of £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays and options to buy some or sell some of that leave.
