Job Description:

This role involves leading project development and planning-related activities for a UK leading developer, owner, and operator of Bioenergy Assets. The ideal candidate will oversee planning strategy, manage subject matter experts, and prepare submissions to local planning authorities. They will engage with stakeholders, prepare design statements, and attend planning committees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Planning strategy and appraisal of potential sites
  • Liaising with subject matter experts and planning authorities
  • Submission of EIA Screening / Scoping Requests and Pre-Applications
  • Engagement with local stakeholders and public exhibitions
  • Preparation of Design & Access Statements, Planning Statements, and EIA reports
  • Attending planning committees and reviewing Committee Reports
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of planning experience (construction or energy industry)
  • Extensive track record of liaising with local planning authorities
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
