We are seeking an experienced Registered Hospital Manager to lead our team at Aberavon Hospital. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the hospital's budget and resources to deliver high-quality care within budget.
- Lead and manage a team of staff to provide excellent care and support to patients.
- Ensure that care standards meet and exceed the requirements of the Health & Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2010 and the HIW.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external professionals, including agencies, HIW inspectors, and local service commissioners.
- Manage recruitment, retention, training, motivation, and communication of staff.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience within a LD or mental health environment as an experienced Registered Hospital Manager.
- QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or equivalent/working towards.
- Clinical experience would be preferred.
- Excellent understanding of the regulatory responsibilities of a Registered Manager and the law relating to care services within Wales.
- Ability to actively market and promote the service in a positive personal and professional profile within the community.
- Experience of improving HIW ratings, working towards Outstanding.
- Demonstrable values and a commitment to leading and supporting a diverse team of staff.
Aberavon Hospital provides rehabilitation and recovery for people with complex, severe, and enduring mental health challenges. Referrals will be accepted from medium/low secure hospitals, PICU, acute admissions, and the Criminal Justice System. Patients will be detained under the Mental Health Act 1983.
Rushcliffe Aberavon is an 18-bedded locked rehabilitation unit for males between the age of 18 and 65.
