Job Opportunity at Ashford and St. Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

We are seeking experienced Healthcare Support Workers to join our team at Ashford and St. Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Senior Health Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in our adult orthopaedic and surgical wards, as well as our new orthopaedic elective centre.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including meeting hygiene, continence, nutrition, pressure area care, and mobility needs.
  • Support patients who present a high risk of harm and vulnerable patients with one-to-one observation.
  • Undertake training and competencies related to the role, such as ECGs, venepuncture, and cannulation.
  • Train and support new and junior team members.
  • Support the registered nursing team in providing high-quality pre and post-operative care.
Requirements:
  • Recent and previous NHS experience as a healthcare support worker for a minimum of six months.
  • Successfully achieved the Care Certificate within an NHS setting.
