About This Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Restaurant and Bar Manager to join our team at Hanbury Manor Marriott Hotel & Country Club. As a key member of our Food and Beverage department, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our restaurants and bars, ensuring that our high standards of service and quality are consistently met.

About the Job
- Oversee the overall operation of our food and beverage outlets, including restaurant, cocktail bar, Oak Hall, Vardon's Bar, and Room Service
- Line manage F&B leaders and service experts, understanding their roles well enough to perform duties in their absence
- Provide excellent customer service, responding proactively to guest concerns and upholding our brand's service culture
- Drive alignment among employees, team leaders, and managers to achieve our service culture
- Ensure associates receive continuous training on service excellence and menu knowledge through digital learning zones and in-person training
- Guide and direct associates, setting performance standards and monitoring performance
- Support the Director of Food and Beverage (DOFB) with recruitment and retention processes
- Cultivate developmental needs among associates, coaching, mentoring, or helping them improve their knowledge or skills
- Foster effective communication within the department through handovers, meetings, and briefings
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Managing the daily operations of our food and beverage outlets
- Ensuring that our high standards of service and quality are consistently met
- Providing excellent customer service and responding proactively to guest concerns
- Driving alignment among employees, team leaders, and managers to achieve our service culture
- Ensuring associates receive continuous training on service excellence and menu knowledge
- Guiding and directing associates, setting performance standards and monitoring performance
- Supporting the DOFB with recruitment and retention processes
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent, with 4 years of experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related fields
- Alternatively, a 2-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major, with 2 years of experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related fields
