Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Automotive Engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and developing research proposals in the area of Automotive Engineering design principles.

About the Role

The Advanced Vehicle Engineering Centre (AVEC) at Cranfield University is a world-renowned centre for low carbon vehicle engineering. We are looking for an individual who can contribute to the teaching and research activities of the Centre, with a particular focus on Automotive Engineering design principles.

The successful candidate will be expected to lead the development of the Automotive MSc course and associated research activity, with a focus on overall vehicle system design, target setting, benchmarking, and system integration. They will also be responsible for developing research proposals in this area to support our commercial clients and public funding opportunities.

About You

We are looking for an individual with a doctoral degree in Automotive Engineering or equivalent significant industrial experience. The successful candidate will have experience of Automotive design integration, including the major components of powertrain, chassis, braking, HVAC, etc. They will also require experience of project management, bid writing, and journal paper production.
