We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Automotive Engineering. The successful candidate will have a strong background in automotive design principles and a proven track record of teaching and research in this area.

The Advanced Vehicle Engineering Centre (AVEC) at Cranfield University is a world-renowned centre for low carbon vehicle engineering. This post represents a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the development of automotive teaching and research within the Centre.

The job holder will be responsible for teaching and developing the Automotive MSc course, with a particular focus on automotive engineering design principles, including overall vehicle system design, target setting, benchmarking, and system integration. The successful candidate will also be expected to lead the Automotive Engineering MSc as Course Director and develop the course to embrace new technologies and approaches required by the sector.

The ideal candidate will have a doctoral degree in Automotive Engineering or equivalent significant industrial experience. They will also require experience of automotive design integration, project management, bid writing, and journal paper production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach and develop the Automotive MSc course
  • Lead the Automotive Engineering MSc as Course Director
  • Develop the course to embrace new technologies and approaches required by the sector
  • Contribute to the development of automotive teaching and research within the Centre

Requirements:
