About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Automotive Engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and developing research proposals in the area of Automotive Engineering design principles, including overall vehicle system design, target setting, benchmarking, and system integration.

The Advanced Vehicle Engineering Centre (AVEC) at Cranfield University is a world-renowned centre for low carbon vehicle engineering, and this role will provide a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of our Automotive MSc course and associated research activity.

The job holder will be expected to lead the Automotive Engineering MSc as Course Director, develop the course to embrace new technologies and approaches required by the sector, and contribute to academic research output and promotion of the Centre.

The ideal candidate will have a doctoral level education in Automotive Engineering or equivalent significant industrial experience, and experience of Automotive design integration, project management, bid writing, and journal paper production.
