Inward Quality Assurance and Compliance Specialist

Overview
Introduction
Contribute to the secure, efficient, and effective management of the logistics parts supply division to meet customer delivery expectations and operational performance indicators.
Emphasize the inbound quality assessment to fulfill all contractual obligations, including Quality Control standards and technical evaluation of all incoming materials.
Collaborate closely with the Inward Quality Operative(s) to guarantee that only compliant materials are permitted to enter the operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Consistently exhibit safe practices and ensure the safety of yourself and colleagues in your work areas, minimizing exposure to significant risks.
- Examine and evaluate incoming materials from the supply chain, including all technical documentation, critical drawing components, and measurements, while coordinating with Quality Engineers for First Article Inspection criteria when necessary.
- Work alongside the inbound team to label and store parts in the designated warehouse after the review process is completed.
- Engage with the Supplier Quality team, Procurement team, and Suppliers to manage non-compliant product returns and clearly communicate issues to avoid disputes.
- Assist the Conformity & Dispatch team with inspection criteria relevant to the packaging of products ready for shipment.
- Support cycle counting and annual stocktaking as required, particularly in quarantine or restricted areas.
- Contribute to the monitoring, maintenance, and display of operational performance indicators by participating in Tier 1 meetings to enhance area performance concerning Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery.
- Ensure the security and accuracy of materials and goods through effective inventory control.
- Encourage continuous improvement and lean initiatives in alignment with quality improvement projects.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Maintain strong compliance with AS9100 and other regulatory requirements, assisting with ISO and external audits as necessary to ensure adherence to policies and expectations.
- Interact with internal customers and key stakeholders at all levels as required.
- Travel may be necessary to support business needs.
- Occasionally undertake additional duties as reasonably required by the company.

Skills and Experience
Essential
- Experience in the Aerospace industry or a related field.
- Familiarity with AS9100 rev D standards.
- Demonstrated success in effective logistics parts and drawing management.
- High attention to detail and understanding of Technical Drawings.
- Able to support lean improvements in a structured manner to enhance team performance.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Capability to identify and implement new technologies that add value to existing processes.
- Proven experience in a similar role.
- Proficient in using digital PC-based ERP and MRP systems.
Desirable
- IOSH Managing Safely certification.
- Forklift certification may be required (certified training will be provided).
- Possession of a driving license and agreement to comply with TT Electronics driver controls.
- Previous experience with lean principles.
- Knowledge of customers and their industries, including Aerospace, Marine, and Defence.
- Experience interacting with suppliers and government agencies, both internal and external.
- Engineering qualification or equivalent.
- Able to understand and utilize courier booking systems.
