About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Vistry Kent, based in West Malling. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for leading the commercial activities on site, ensuring the optimal profitability of contracts, and achieving the best possible cash flow position.
Key Responsibilities
- Optimize the profitability of contracts and ensure compliance with commercial and company procedures.
- Prepare and manage key and large risk subcontract accounts from inception to final accounts.
- Procure sub-contractors in line with the Vistry Business Management System and ensure packages cover the scope of works.
- Check and ensure compliance and issuing of timely Payment and Pay less notices to Subcontractors.
- Monitor and improve commercial processes by establishing objectives and targets for the Contract teams.
- Prepare monthly CVR reports for presentation to the Business Unit Management.
- Provide input and cost and value engineering advice throughout the design life of the scheme and attend design team meetings.
- Manage and undertake the personal development reviews of associated surveying resources, including training.
- Ensure a proactive approach to dispute avoidance and company health and safety standards and procedures are followed throughout the team.
