About the Role

We are seeking an experienced CASS Manager to lead our Client Asset team in London. As a key member of our financial services team, you will be responsible for ensuring our firm's compliance with regulatory requirements and providing expert guidance on client asset management.

Key Responsibilities
  • CASS Impact Assessment: Conduct thorough impact assessments on new financial products and services to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Process Implementation: Develop and implement effective CASS processes and procedures to ensure accurate completion of client asset reconciliations.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance client asset management and reduce regulatory risk.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure our firm's compliance with CASS regulations and other relevant financial services regulations.
  • Client Asset Management: Manage client assets throughout the investment life cycle, including funding client money accounts and managing counterparty exposures.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and analyze daily client asset activity reports and provide insights to senior management.
  • Policy Development: Assist in the development and maintenance of CASS policies and procedures.
  • Client Queries: Respond to client queries related to client asset management and provide expert guidance.
  • Annual Audits: Assist in the preparation and execution of annual client money audits.
Requirements
  • CASS Expertise: In-depth knowledge of CASS regulations, specifically CASS 6, 7, and 8.
  • Team Management: Experience in managing a team and developing team members.
  • Financial Services Experience: Prior experience in a CASS function at an investment management firm.
  • Financial Markets Knowledge: Good working knowledge of financial markets and related products.
  • Operational Cash Management: Demonstrate a good working knowledge of operational cash management and reconciliations.
  • IT Competence: IT competent, particularly MS Office (Advanced Excel and Word).
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Communication Skills: Confident communicator with good understanding of accounting and reconciliations.
