Job Description
Team Leadership- Maintain awareness of company Health & Safety policy and ensure that staff practice approved methods to minimize risk to personnel or equipment.
- Encourage a safety culture among shift members and advise the Station Manager of any potential hazards identified or improvements that could be made.
- Promote a safety-conscious culture.
- Effectively manage, develop, and motivate the team.
- Encourage a strong work ethic and staff interaction across shift personnel.
- Establish and maintain good communication across all reporting areas and interfacing departments.
- Manage and maintain a safe and efficient line maintenance operation.
- Aid in maintaining an efficient and effective shift to support the continued airworthiness of Customer Aircraft.
- Ensure shift levels and skills are sufficient to achieve planned workload in line with Production Planning Process and bring discrepancies to the attention of Engineering Management.
- Review daily the Customer work requests, ensure spares have been identified/received and placed on Pre-load.
- Aid Customer Airline in achieving its on-time performance targets.
- Ensure all responsible staff are aware of their responsibilities and updates to relevant procedures.
- Aid in ensuring all relevant Station, EASA and CAA regulations are met.
- Ensure relevant procedures are followed, maintained and reviewed ensuring compliance with all regulations.
- Ensure all relevant directions, procedures and directives are followed and correctly read and recorded.
- Bring all cost savings or potential overspends to the attention of the Station Manager.
- Ensure all overtime requirements are brought to the attention of the Station Manager preferably in advance for approval.
- Ensure all relevant staff on their shift are aware of all H & S obligations and responsibilities.
- Ensure staffing levels and skills are sufficient to fulfill shift requirements.
- Establish and maintain a good relationship between all line stations and interfacing departments.
- Aid the Customer Airlines on-time performance record.
- Ensure all responsible staff are regularly briefed and aware of their responsibilities and updates.
- Maintain the line station in a clean, safe and efficient manner.
- At the beginning of each shift, be conversant with any ongoing problems, and maintain an accurate shift Log throughout the duty period.
- Fully brief the oncoming shift of events.
- Establish and maintain good communication across their shift and interfacing departments.
- Attend meetings as required between shift supervisors, Operational Maintenance Manager and interfacing departments.
- Carry out tasks as detailed by the Station Manager.
- Ensure vehicle and ground equipment checks are completed and certified to comply with CAP 642 requirements.
- Deputize for the Station Manager in his absence.
