Job Summary

The CNC Machinist will be responsible for carrying out standard activities, adhering to Work Instructions and/or Standard Operating Procedures, and ensuring a safe work environment. They will also be expected to attain relevant certification through a rigorous Job Instruction process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Loading, operating, and maintaining CNC mills and other machining equipment.
  • Interpreting and executing machining instructions, drawings, and specifications.
  • Performing routine maintenance on CNC machines.
  • Reporting production status, issues, and concerns to relevant personnel.
  • Achieving precise tolerances and surface finishes on various parts and components.
  • Measuring and inspecting machined parts to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving equipment malfunctions and machining issues.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Working independently and as part of a team.
  • Assisting with process improvement and optimization initiatives.

Requirements

  • SPM, Diploma, Professional Certificate, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a CNC Machinist.
  • Experience in Aerospace or MRO industries.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Understanding of CNC programming, G code, and machine control.
  • Knowledge of machining principles, tooling selection, and cutting techniques.
  • Familiarity with different types of CNC machines, such as milling machines and grinders.
  • Strong understanding of material properties and machining capabilities of various metals.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and equipment.
