Meritus Talent is partnering with a leading defence organization to recruit a skilled Software Engineer for a contract position.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing complex software solutions using C/C++ and Linux.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop software solutions for real-time systems using C/C++ and Linux.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize software development projects.
  • Develop and maintain software documentation and technical guides.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
  • Contribute to the development of new technologies and tools to improve software development processes.

Requirements:

  • Strong background in C/C++ and Linux programming.
  • Experience with real-time systems and embedded software development.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

About the Role:

This is a contract position with an initial 6-month contract, with extensions likely. The successful candidate will be based on-site and will require BPSS and SC Clearance.

Overview of the Department:

The UK HWIL team is part of a wider, integrated, international HWIL team conducting similar activities in France and Italy. The team is responsible for designing, developing, and using closed-loop HWIL simulations to investigate and prove the behaviors and performance of products over a range of different conditions.
