Strategic Business Optimizer, Hotels

Expedia Group is seeking a results-driven individual to spearhead the optimization of our B2C businesses in the US. If you're passionate about driving business outcomes and making a lasting impact, this role may be the perfect fit for you.

This position will be responsible for optimizing business results across Expedia's B2C businesses, with a focus on the US market. You will help establish and track performance targets, optimize spend allocation, contribute to the annual strategic plan, develop/improve team playbooks, and interface regularly with executive (VP+) leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and track performance targets linked to strategic initiatives and reforecast targets regularly
  • Monitor and drive performance towards targets by optimizing spend allocation and identifying short- and long-term drivers of performance
  • Prepare and deliver communications to various audiences, including VP+, ensuring the right level of detail is shared
  • Establish trusted working relationships with internal stakeholders and build rapport to become a trusted advisor
  • Create an environment for team effectiveness where strengths are known and built upon, and learning is shared to build capacity

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience; Master's degree preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in strategy and project execution
  • 3+ years of people management experience
  • Prior work on insights and decision-making with significant strategic and financial impact for the organization
  • Adept problem solver who embeds a test-and-learn and data-driven decision-making culture
  • Strong analytical and business judgment skills
  • Risk assessor/taker
  • Ability to influence at all levels of the organization
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

The estimated salary range for this position in Seattle is $155,000 to $217,000. With ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance, employees have the potential to increase their pay up to $248,000.

Starting pay for this role varies based on multiple factors, including location and individual knowledge, skills, and experience. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, paid time off, and an Employee Assistance Program. We also offer wellness & travel reimbursement, travel discounts, and an International Airlines Travel Agent (IATAN) membership.
