About Us

North Lakes is a well-established provider of therapeutic residential care and education for boys aged 6-18. We aim to improve the resilience, self-esteem, and abilities of all the young people we work with.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of staff in creating a purposeful, caring, and therapeutic learning environment for our young people.

The role requires excellent communication and listening skills, experience with emotional behavioural disorder, social/residential work, or youth work, and a willingness to learn and develop their therapeutic care knowledge.

The salary for this position is estimated at £28,129.92 per annum, based on the location and industry standards. The company offers a range of benefits, including a sleep-in allowance of £62.64 per night, shift rotation, annual leave entitlement, company pension, progression opportunities, and access to wellbeing supports.

Job Description:

The role involves:

  • Supervising and supporting the continued professional development of a small team of staff
  • Leading shifts, making well-judged decisions in line with care plans
  • Providing support and advice for staff as required
  • Managing the daily running of the team
  • Supporting and deputising for deputy manager as and when required

Requirements:

  • Hold Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma/Children and Young People's Workforce/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Willingness to learn and develop their therapeutic care knowledge
  • Ability to work well as part of a small team
  • Experience with emotional behavioural disorder, social/residential work, or youth work advantageous
