Marine Electrical Engineer - Permanent - Gibraltar

Navis Consulting is partnering with a marine electrical engineering supplier in Gibraltar to find their next Engineer.

You will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing various electrical equipment and systems. The role involves working on all vessels, ranging from day boats to commercial vessels. The company specializes in navigational, solar, inverter, and power management systems, including complete boat rewires, new equipment installations, fault finding, and correction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and repair electrical equipment and systems
  • Work on various vessels, including day boats and commercial vessels
  • Specialize in navigational, solar, inverter, and power management systems

The company is looking for a committed engineer who is willing to relocate to Gibraltar and stay long term.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3+ years experience
  • Yachting systems experience is required
  • Technical degree or certification in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Electrical Maintenance and Troubleshooting skills
  • Strong understanding of AC/DC Systems & Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in maintaining electrical equipment
  • Experience with 'Victron' or 'Mastervolt' is advantageous
  • Knowledge of electrical regulations and safety procedures
  • Ability to work well in a team and individually
  • Fluent in English - Spanish a bonus
  • Clean Driving License
