About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Controls Engineer to join our team at Leidos Holding. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for preparing proposals for our electrical / controls engineering projects, predominantly Automotive Body Shop Automation projects.

Key Responsibilities

  1. To generate costs for the technical solutions presented - mechanical / electrical / software.
  2. Cost based research / analysis in concert with all stakeholders.
  3. Cost risk identification and mitigation.

About You

  1. Experienced in preparing bids for Electrical / Controls Engineering work
  2. Commercial minded
  3. Highly Organised & self-motivated
  4. Particularly good understanding of MS Office packages
  5. Ability to read CAD drawings.
  6. Good technical literacy skills

Requirements

  1. Proven experience in Electrical / Controls Engineering, preferably with some experience in responding to RFQs and preparing proposals
  2. Ideally some knowledge of manufacturing automation methods and processes
  3. Understanding of project costs - design, management, manufacture, installation and suppliers
  4. Ability to converse with other internal departments such as engineering on a technical level to review and proceed to an agreed outcome
