Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Fundraising Research & Stewardship Executive to join our team at The London Clinic. As a key member of our fundraising team, you will be responsible for researching and monitoring a pipeline of prospects, working with the team to update and steward current donors, and identifying and researching new prospects and community and corporate partners.

Key Duties:

  • Lead and carry out prospect research activity, including proactive research into new prospects, including individuals, trusts, or companies, to understand their motivations for giving.
  • Carry out research and engage with community partners who we can work and collaborate with.
  • Create prospect profiles as needed to inform engagement with supporters and potential supporters.
  • Maintain a prospect management system that provides accurate reporting on prospects – including information on application deadlines, gift capacity ratings, and fundraising interests.
  • Undertake due diligence and corporate risk assessment on potential funders.
  • Keep up to date with market and philanthropic trends and use this to inform our research approach.
  • Build relationships with consultants and staff through the Clinic to build beneficial collaborative working to identify donors.
  • Researching and sourcing event venues for important campaigns.
  • Helping to develop guest lists for special events.
  • Researching and writing documents to steward current donors.
  • Creating marketing materials to thank supporters.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working for a charitable organisation.
  • Experience of developing fundraising strategies for a charity.
  • Understanding of how to research potential donors and supporters.
  • Adaptable excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Good database management skills.
  • Good knowledge of all major computer packages.
