Job Description

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead our team in delivering critical infrastructure projects across the UK. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing technical design work, preparing briefs and scopes of work, and ensuring successful project delivery within budget and time constraints.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team to undertake technical design work, adhering to relevant design standards and codes.
  • Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes.
  • Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
  • Adhere to quality assurance standards in design.
Requirements
  • Chartered Mechanical Engineer with a strong understanding of mechanical equipment and current UK design standards.
  • Experience in design delivery, including multidisciplinary design, and a sound knowledge of mechanical equipment.
  • Strong understanding of legislation such as CDM and ATEX.
