As a Technical Director in Mechanical Engineering, you will play a vital role in leading our team to deliver high-quality projects and programs, ensuring technical excellence and safety across multiple projects and programs. You will be responsible for setting our technical strategic direction for projects and bid proposals, as well as acting as a subject-matter-expert.


Your Responsibilities:



  1. Be accountable for technical delivery and safety, to high-quality levels across multiple projects and programs, acting as a point of escalation for resolutions of complex technical matters.
  2. Set our technical strategic direction for projects and bid proposals, as well as acting as a subject-matter-expert.
  3. Lead an agenda of technical excellence and continuous improvement in the practice whilst being accountable for quality assurance standards in design.
  4. Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
  5. Grow, develop and manage mechanical engineering capability within the practice.
  6. Be a strategic partner for our Clients, sought out by them as a go-to person within your technical field.


Your Qualifications:



  1. Chartered or Fellow Mechanical Engineer.
  2. Comprehensive knowledge in mechanical equipment such as pumps, blowers, screens and chemical dosing plant as well as a deep understanding of current UK design standards and working practices.
