Commercial Manager - Contract Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Manager - Contract Specialist to join our team at CLC Group in Bristol.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with Contractors, Suppliers, and Clients to ensure information, costs, profitability, and values meet project/contract requirements.
- Effectively manage commercial aspects of the Office in line with Business requirements and Budget parameters.
- Provide commercial support to operations and close liaison with Project Teams.
- Apply knowledge of Construction Contracts to oversee financial management of projects.
- Regular reporting on financial performance to senior management.
- Ensure commercial strategy is developed and delivered in line with Company requirements.
- Assist in the coordination, preparation, processing, and selection of estimates, bids, and tenders.
- Oversee and develop members of the Commercial Team.
- Develop Client relationships and attend Client meetings.
- Attend and contribute to internal management meetings.
- Monitor contract progress, assess, and report any changes that may affect project costs and/or time scale.
- Ensure all necessary contract documentation/reports are accurate and produced on time.
- Value and authorise payments to sub-contractors.
- Obtain and evaluate information to ensure a realistic cost for the supply of works, goods, materials, and services for assigned projects/contracts.
- Oversee the procurement of all projects to ensure resources are in place in a cost-effective and timely manner.
Requirements:
- Degree qualified (or equivalent) and/or proven experience.
- Experience of refurbishment/Framework projects in a number of sectors.
- Conversant with JCT and NEC suite of building contracts.
- Strong commercial awareness.
- Excellent interpersonal and networking skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of personnel.
- Ability to prioritise a busy workload and meet project deadlines.
- Broad understanding of the construction industry.
- Good analytical, financial, and numeracy skills.
- Strong IT skills.
- A team player.
- Proactive.
- Ambitious.
