About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Marketing and Engagement Manager to join our team at Legal & General. As a key member of our marketing function, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing effective communication strategies to engage with our members and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain regulated communication materials across all schemes, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Manage email campaigns and client requests, maintaining appropriate stock levels and ensuring communications are approved in line with regulation.
  • Drive member outcomes by applying learning, behavioural science, and insight from tests to enhance and improve communication strategies.
  • Design communications and support activity across schemes to support contact and engagement strategies for members, working efficiently and observing brand guidelines within budget and timescale.
  • Work with agencies and third-party suppliers to deliver materials, ensuring they meet brief and budget requirements to meet commercial and business targets.
  • Create and contribute to the analysis and reporting of the effectiveness of communications and campaigns to optimize activity and improve member experience.
  • Utilize customer/member insight, analytics, and data to create effective communications that deliver key messages and support commercial objectives.
  • Review printed stock levels with third parties, manage version control, and minimize stock waste.
  • Build effective relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally, across L&G Retail and Group, ensuring our behaviours are always demonstrated.
  • Work within our appropriate risk and compliance framework and demonstrate key behaviours of a professional, supportive, and engaging marketing function.
Requirements
  • Marketing and/or communications education desired but not essential if equivalent experience.
  • Evidence of budgetary management.
  • IT skills – excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other relevant software packages.
  • Experience of designing & delivering consumer-facing communications.
  • Experience of working with creative agencies and providing appropriate briefing, management, and creative evaluation.
  • Experience of working in a marketing function or creative agency.
  • Preferably experience of working within a financial services marketing/communications team or equivalent.
