Care and Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Care and Support Specialist to join our team at Cathay Care Home in Moray.

Salary: £12.10 per hour

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a close-knit care team, providing exceptional care and support to our residents.

You will be responsible for helping residents with their daily routines, promoting independence, and ensuring their overall health and happiness are prioritized every day.

  • Empowering Independence: Assist residents with daily tasks, encouraging them to make positive choices and remain as independent as possible.
  • Personalized Care: Follow and support each resident's personalized care plan, providing hands-on help and thoughtful attention to their individual needs.
  • Health and Wellbeing: Monitor residents' health, communicate concerns to the Nurse or Clinical Deputy Manager, and assist with calls to relatives or healthcare professionals.
  • Championing Dignity: Uphold the dignity and respect of each resident, ensuring they feel valued and cared for in every interaction.
  • Social Support: Encourage social interactions among residents and with staff, creating a warm and welcoming environment.
  • Safety and Comfort: Collaborate with housekeepers to maintain clean, safe, and comfortable living spaces, responding quickly to emergencies or call bells.
  • Nutritional Support: Assist residents who need extra help with eating and drinking, ensuring their nutritional needs are met.
  • Spreading Joy: Bring joy to our residents' lives and make them smile every day.
About You
  • Qualifications: SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is preferred.
  • Experience: Ideally, you have at least 6 months of experience as a Care Assistant, but we welcome those with a passion for care and transferable skills.
  • Passion: You're genuinely interested in caring for the elderly and committed to delivering excellent service.
