Dementia Care Worker

We are looking for a compassionate Dementia Care Worker to join our night shift team at Cathay Care Home in Moray.

Salary: £12.10 per hour

In this role, you will be working closely with our experienced care team to provide person-centered care to our residents with dementia.

Your primary responsibilities will include assisting residents with daily tasks, promoting independence, and ensuring their overall health and happiness are prioritized every day.

• Empowering Residents: Help residents with daily tasks, encouraging them to make positive choices and remain as independent as possible.
• Personalized Support: Follow and support each resident's personalized care plan, providing hands-on help and thoughtful attention to their individual needs.
• Health Monitoring: Monitor residents' health, communicate concerns to the Nurse or Clinical Deputy Manager, and assist with calls to relatives or healthcare professionals.
• Championing Dignity: Uphold the dignity and respect of each resident, ensuring they feel valued and cared for in every interaction.
• Social Interactions: Encourage social interactions among residents and with staff, creating a warm and welcoming environment.
• Safety and Comfort: Collaborate with housekeepers to maintain clean, safe, and comfortable living spaces, responding quickly to emergencies or call bells.
• Nutritional Support: Assist residents who need extra help with eating and drinking, ensuring their nutritional needs are met.
• Smile Brighter: Bring joy to our residents' lives and make them smile every day.

• Qualifications: SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is preferred.
• Experience: Ideally, you have at least 6 months of experience as a Care Assistant, but we welcome those with a passion for care and transferable skills.
