Job Summary

Amazon is seeking a Tax Analyst to join the EMEA Tax Department based in London or Luxembourg to support the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud computing business, focusing on corporation tax advisory.

The ideal candidate will be able to work independently while liaising with both the tax team and the wider AWS business as it continually expands both its offerings and footprint within EMEA. The role will focus on corporate tax matters including the interaction with withholding, indirect, transfer pricing, and other tax areas.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Managing and coordinating tax requirements for country expansions and new program launches.
  2. Providing relevant tax guidance to the business while working to build relationships and understanding with the business so that adherence is maintained.
  3. Supporting on ad-hoc projects such as restructuring or transactions involving the AWS business.
  4. Researching international tax issues and working with outside advisers as necessary as part of the tax team supporting business initiatives.
  5. Engaging with outside tax advisors to support tax projects.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree
  2. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
  3. Experience working in a large public accounting firm or multi-national corporate tax department
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Experience maintaining and operating transaction tax calculation software
