Job Summary:
As a key member of our culinary services team at peopleCare Communities, you will play a vital role in ensuring the high-quality preparation and serving of meals to our residents. This position requires a strong focus on food safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include:
  • Complying with provincial/long term care regulations and dietary department policies.
  • Assisting in food preparation, serving, and monitoring quality of food supplies.
  • Following proper food handling techniques, storing food properly, and maintaining a clean work area.
  • Completing necessary documentation and participating in the department's Quality Management program.
  • Alerting the Director of Food Services to problems and making recommendations for corrective action.
  • Attending departmental and home staff meetings, in-services, and training sessions.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership qualities, self-motivation, and the ability to organize and manage a home area kitchen. Previous long-term care experience is an asset. We offer a competitive salary range of $40,000 - $50,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
