Housing Support Officer Role

At Niyaa People, we are seeking a skilled Tenancy Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in improving the lives of ex-offenders and individuals with substance misuse issues by delivering a high-quality, direct support service to individuals or groups, helping them transition to permanent housing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To improve the lives of ex-offenders and individuals with substance misuse issues by delivering a high-quality, direct support service to individuals or groups, helping them transition to permanent housing.
  • Participate in assessing and reviewing future housing and support needs, and in identifying and co-ordinating internal and external services and referrals to meet these needs.
  • Ensure that rent arrears policies are administered in accordance with the capabilities of service users, assisting them where required to claim welfare benefits as appropriate.
  • Must be able to drive as the role will require travelling within a small patch.
