Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Trading Standards Specialist to join our team at Lambeth. The successful candidate will be responsible for enforcing consumer and community safeguarding policies, providing expert advice to businesses and community groups, and undertaking proactive investigations and enforcement work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead in specialist fields of work, including consumer and community safeguarding, and provide expert advice to businesses and community groups.
  • Undertake a range of proactive Trading Standards criminal investigations and formal enforcement work, including investigating complaints.
  • Advise businesses and community groups on the requirements of Trading Standards legislation.
  • Undertake joint working with other internal services and external enforcement agencies.
  • Utilise a variety of software packages, including IDB and UNIFORM.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you will need to have a proven track record of enforcing consumer and community safeguarding policies, and providing expert advice to businesses and community groups. You will also need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
