Healthcare Assistant Position for a Dynamic Team

We are a dynamic NHS practice located on the edge of the Pennines, offering a unique opportunity for an experienced Healthcare Assistant to join our team.
About the JobThis is a challenging and rewarding role that involves assisting the practice clinical team in providing high-quality patient care. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will be responsible for carrying out various tasks such as health reviews for long-term conditions, ECG recording, and chaperoning duties.
The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience of working with EMIS web, Docman, and MS Office is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the practice clinical team in providing patient care, including health reviews, ECG recording, and chaperoning duties
- Process and manage laboratory samples requested by GPs/nurses
- Sterilise, cleanse, and maintain surgical equipment
- Store and monitor vaccine/cold chain stocks
- Restock surgical equipment and vaccines, and clear/re-stock consulting rooms
- Prepare and maintain environments and equipment before, during, and after patient care interventions
- Qualified in Phlebotomy
- Qualified in NVQ level 3
- Experience of working in an NHS GP surgery or healthcare setting
- Good working knowledge of EMIS web, Docman, and MS Office
- Competitive salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
