Social Services Professional

Myn is seeking a dedicated Family Support Specialist to join our Children's Services team. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with families to provide support and guidance in caring for their children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with families to identify needs and strengths, and develop plans to improve their lives.
- Assess family situations to determine if statutory intervention is necessary to protect children from harm.
- Collaborate with families, children, and professionals to create plans that reduce risks and improve outcomes.
- Conduct child protection investigations and develop safety plans.
- Secure stable, long-term placements for children who cannot remain in their families.
- Maintain detailed case records and assessments.
- Participate in reflective supervision and training to improve practice and outcomes.
Requirements:
- Professional qualification in Social Work and registration with Social Work England.
- Experience working with children and families in a statutory setting.
- Strong knowledge of UK childcare law and statutory guidance.
- Excellent communication and motivational interviewing skills.
- Empathy, resilience, and commitment to helping children and families achieve the best possible outcomes.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work with partners across social care, education, and health sectors.
