Cromwell Hospital is committed to providing exceptional patient care. As a Theatre Practitioner, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of surgical procedures and providing high-quality patient care.

Job Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, delivering and evaluating peri-operative patient care. You will participate in the delegation and supervision of junior grades, non-registered and less experienced staff, and create and maintain accurate records of care in accordance with local policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient care and ensure the smooth running of surgical procedures.
  • Assist in the positioning and preparation of patients as directed by the surgical team.
  • Help to control cross infection by observing departmental policy regarding dress, cleaning, decontamination and sterilisation procedures.
  • Prepare patients for clinical/operative procedures, both in anaesthetics and surgery.


Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require RN – 1st level Registration Adult and/or Children / Diploma or Degree in Health Care Studies / ODP Level 3 NVQ / ODA 752 qualifications and previous scrub nurse experience. Proven recent perioperative experience is also essential.
