Job Title: School Nurse Team Leader - Clinical Leadership and Management Opportunity

Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking an experienced and skilled nurse to fill the role of School Nurse Team Leader. This position offers a unique opportunity for a motivated and dedicated individual to lead a team of nurses in providing high-quality care to children with complex health needs.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of school nurses and healthcare assistants, providing clinical leadership, and ensuring that the highest standards of care are maintained. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with education professionals and other stakeholders.

We are looking for a highly qualified and experienced nurse who can demonstrate strong leadership skills, a passion for delivering high-quality patient care, and a commitment to improving outcomes for children with complex health needs.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide clinical leadership to a team of school nurses and healthcare assistants, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care.
  2. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure that care is delivered safely and effectively.
  3. Work closely with education professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for children with complex health needs.
  4. Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring that all relevant information is up-to-date and easily accessible.
  5. Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to improve health outcomes for children with complex health needs.
Requirements
  • RGN or RMN qualification
  • Experience of working in a community setting, preferably in a special school environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
