About the Role
Your Healthcare CIC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tissue Viability Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our community nursing team, you will be responsible for providing evidence-based and clinically effective care to patients with tissue viability needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice and support to community staff in the area of tissue viability
- Assess and manage residents with tissue viability needs in local care homes
- Work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team, developing and maintaining effective working relationships with other agencies
- Support the delivery of educational programs within Your Healthcare
- Contribute to the quality agenda within Your Healthcare, with a focus on reducing pressure ulcer incidence
Requirements
- Clear understanding of current tissue viability best practice and national guidelines
- Knowledge of current professional issues in wound care, particularly around pressure ulcer reporting and management
- Previous relevant experience in wound care/tissue viability in a community setting
- Ability to assess patients with complex health and social needs
