Job Title

We are seeking an experienced Building Systems Consultant to join our Facility Engineering team at AWE Plc. As a Building Systems Consultant, you will be responsible for delivering professional engineering services across our plant and equipment.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise in electrical building services and associated plant. You will work closely with our team to deliver engineered solutions during the operational lifecycle phase.

Your key responsibilities will include identifying and escalating business risk or opportunities arising from the condition of engineered systems and structures. Additionally, you will take ownership of engineering issues or opportunities, planning, managing, and collaborating to deliver sound, safe solutions.

Providing advice, guidance, progress reports, and supporting documentation to stakeholders is also a key aspect of the role. You will adhere to Company Management System requirements, relevant Technical Standards & Legislation, and business controls.

Main Responsibilities

  • Apply expertise in electrical building services and associated plant to deliver engineered solutions during the operational lifecycle phase.
  • Identify and escalate business risk or opportunities arising from the condition of engineered systems and structures.
  • Take ownership of engineering issues or opportunities, planning, managing, and collaborating to deliver sound, safe solutions.
Requirements

You will need a minimum qualification L4 NQF (HNC) with suitable additional experience, preferably a degree in an engineering discipline. You should be able to demonstrate experience in some or all of the following areas: electrical building services, industrial processes, mechanical & control systems, relevant legislation, and common industry standards.

Previous experience as an installer or maintainer is desirable, although this role is more akin to consultancy services. A strong understanding of Technical Standards & Legislation is essential.
