**About the Role**

We are seeking an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team at a large secondary school in Caterham, Surrey.

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to support teaching and learning across the school. As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to plan, prepare and deliver lessons, and provide guidance and support to students.

Responsibilities

  • To lead classes in the absence of any Class Teachers.
  • To know and understand the Class Teacher's curriculum planning and to plan, prepare and deliver assigned programmes of teaching and learning activities to individual, small groups and/or classes.
  • To reinforce learning concepts presented by teachers.
  • To take an active role in key areas of responsibility across the school including displays and organising resources.
  • To develop and implement individual plans for pupils, including attendance at reviews if requested.

Qualifications

  • The Higher Level Teaching Assistant Diploma or equivalent Level 4 qualification, or demonstrate equivalent skill level.
  • GCSE pass above C grade 4 in English and Maths.

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this role is £26,265.26 per annum, dependant on qualifications. Plus a £2,000 welcome bonus for HLTA with SEN experience.
