Your new role
As an Optical Assistant at Specsavers Derby, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, dispensing lenses, and carrying out pre-screening examinations. You will work closely with the wider team to maintain clinic operations and ensure patients receive accurate advice on suitable products.

We are looking for an individual with previous optical experience, preferably as an Optical Advisor or Dispensing Assistant. You should possess excellent communication skills, an organised approach, and a willingness to develop and expand your knowledge. In return, you will benefit from a nationally recognised qualification equivalent to a Level 3 BTEC, which will enhance your optical career prospects. Additionally, you will receive in-store discounts and bonus potential.

Key responsibilities
  • Dispensing of lenses (single vision / bi-focal & varifocal)
  • Carrying out pre-screening examinations & working alongside the wider team in day-to-day running of clinics
  • Maintaining delivery of excellent customer service at all times, playing a valuable part of a customer journey & successful retail team.
