Senior Tax Analyst

Position Summary

The Senior Tax Analyst plays a crucial role in our Global Tax & Compliance function. This function prepares the Firm's US Partnership tax filings, manages the payment of the Partners' taxes in 30+ countries, and collaborates with management to ensure the Firm and its offices comply with relevant local tax rules.

The Tax Department handles annual and quarterly tax reporting, provides information for local tax filings, and monitors tax compliance worldwide. The Senior Tax Analyst is involved in all aspects of tax compliance, partner tax accounts reconciliations, and related analysis and reporting.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Reconcile partners' tax accounts with moderate to high complexity, including daily updates of non-US tax account reconciliations.
  2. Prepare partner cash flow statements, departure calculations, and final tax reconciliations as requested.
  3. Prepare tax returns and supporting schedules/analyses of moderate to high complexity for monthly, quarterly, and annual filings.
  4. Gather documentation of partners' tax payments to support partners upon audit.
  5. Maintain files and checklists for all partners' tax residency certificates and prepare documentation packages as needed for reducing withholding tax on certain transactions.
  6. Communicate with stakeholders/global clients to deliver tasks and input tax-related general ledger entries in the system.
  7. Collaborate with colleagues in other departments to resolve issues regarding moderate to complex tax-related matters.
  8. Solve simple to moderate tax issues and escalate if not resolved within capacity.
  9. Conduct research as needed to deliver assigned tasks (e.g., IRS or state tax websites).
  10. Prepare ad hoc reports and work on special projects as requested by management or partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 3-5 years' experience in tax, accounting, or finance.
  • Strong systems skills, including Excel, Word, and Adobe.
  • Flexible to work in morning or mid-shift.
  • Willing to render overtime in weekdays or weekends (if necessary).

Location and Reporting

  • This is a hybrid in-office/remote role based in our Manila office.
  • This role reports to the Senior Tax Manager.
