Job Summary
The Senior Tax Analyst plays a vital role in our Global Tax & Compliance function. This role involves preparing the firm's US Partnership tax filings, managing tax payments in over 30 countries, and collaborating with management to ensure compliance with local tax regulations. The Tax Department handles annual and quarterly tax reporting, provides information for local tax filings, and monitors tax compliance worldwide.
The Senior Tax Analyst is responsible for all aspects of tax compliance, partner tax account reconciliations, and related analysis and reporting. This role requires a solid understanding of tax processes and functions, as well as the ability to solve issues, innovate processes, and assist colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Reconcile partners' tax accounts with moderate to high complexity, including daily updates of non-US tax account reconciliations.
- Prepare partner cash flow statements, departure calculations, and final tax reconciliations as requested.
- Prepare tax returns and supporting schedules/analyses of moderate to high complexity for monthly, quarterly, and annual filings.
- Gather documentation of partners' tax payments to support partners upon audit.
- Maintain files and checklists for all partners' tax residency certificates and prepare documentation packages as needed for reducing withholding tax on certain transactions.
- Communicate with stakeholders and global clients to deliver tasks and input tax-related general ledger entries in the system.
- Collaborate with colleagues in other departments to resolve issues regarding moderate to complex tax matters.
- Solve simple to moderate tax issues and escalate if not resolved within capacity.
- Conduct research as needed to deliver assigned tasks (e.g., IRS or state tax websites).
- Prepare ad hoc reports and work on special projects as requested by management or partners.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree with a Major in Accounting or Finance.
- 3-5 years' experience in tax, accounting, or finance.
- Strong systems skills, including Excel, Word, and Adobe.
- Flexibility to work in morning or mid-shift.
- Willingness to render overtime in weekdays or weekends (if necessary).
Location and Reporting
- This is a hybrid in-office/remote role based in our Manila office.
- This role reports to the Senior Tax Manager.
