Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:
- Operating at an advanced practice level to provide a comprehensive ultrasound service with detailed, independently generated reports.
- Effectively communicating complex diagnostic and treatment information to both clinicians and patients.
- Independently managing patient prioritization and organizing workloads from various referral sources to meet service demands.

- Maintaining the highest professional standards at all times, utilizing extensive specialist knowledge in accordance with local, regional, and national guidelines.
- Working autonomously to perform a wide array of ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, and gynecological assessments.
- Providing precise dating based on fetal ultrasound measurements, which is crucial for determining expected delivery dates and planning antenatal care.
- Participating in screening services to identify fetal abnormalities, monitor growth in at-risk pregnancies, and manage multiple gestations.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
- HCPC or NMC Registration
- Advanced qualification in ultrasound practice (Masters / PGC)
- Completion of additional specialized training courses
Desirable:
- Experience in small parts, DVT, and MSK scanning
Knowledge & Skills
Essential:
- Strong communication skills across all levels
Desirable:
- Demonstrable clinical experience over a minimum of one year
