Job Summary

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced and skilled ultrasonographer to join their team. As an advanced practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality ultrasound services, including antenatal, general, small parts, paediatric, DVT, and MSK scanning.

Main Duties

  • Provide patient-focused, high-quality ultrasound services, with a focus on clinical teaching, continual professional development, and participation in audit.
  • Communicate complex information regarding diagnosis and treatment directly with clinicians and patients.
  • Independently prioritise patients and organise workload from various referral pathways to meet the needs of the service.

Person Specification

  • HCPC or NMC registration
  • Higher qualification in US practice (Masters/PGC)
  • Additional specialist courses
  • Ability to communicate well at all levels

  • Provide accurate dating based on fetal ultrasound measurements
