Medical Examiner Opportunity at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Examiner to join our team at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Medical Examiner, you will play a crucial role in reviewing medical records and supporting diagnostic information to improve the quality of death certification.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough reviews of medical records and supporting diagnostic information to ensure accurate death certification.
  • Collaborate with medical directors and other stakeholders to improve patient safety and quality of care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical knowledge and legal frameworks associated with death certification processes.

Requirements
  • Medical practitioner registered and licensed to practise in the UK by the GMC.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of causes of death and an understanding of the legal frameworks associated with death certification processes.
  • Excellent IT skills, including use of email and commonly used software.
