At Valor Healthcare, we strive to provide high-quality care to deserving individuals. As a Reviewing Medical Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of medical ratings and consultations.

Key Responsibilities

The Reviewing Medical Officer will be responsible for reviewing medical examinations, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and required detail. This includes reviewing Fit for duty medical evaluations, employee/incumbent periodic medical examinations and immunizations, return to duty determinations, independent medical examinations, and fitness for duty for positions with medical standards and physical requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in medical review and/or occupational medicine.
  • Active, unrestricted license in the continental United States, Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, and US Virgin Islands to provide oversight for Occupational Health and Emergency Missions.
  • Board Certified in Occupational Medicine or eligible for certification by the Board.
  • Licensed to perform U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Motor Carrier, and Coast Guard medical examinations.
  • Preferred experience in government healthcare or occupational medicine settings.
  • Able to travel up to 30% when needed.

About the Role

This position is contingent upon contract award, client approval, completion of a favorable background investigation, and the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust / High Risk clearance.
