Job Title: Literacy and Numeracy Intervention Professional

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact on children's educational development as a Literacy and Numeracy Intervention Professional at our outstanding school in Kingston-upon-Thames. We are looking for a dedicated and passionate professional to join our team and provide targeted support to primary-aged students.

You will work closely with the class teacher to identify students who would benefit from additional support and tailor lessons to meet the individual needs of students, especially those with Special Educational Needs (SEN). The role involves providing one-on-one and small group interventions to primary-aged students, focusing on literacy, numeracy, and general academic support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement personalized learning plans for primary-aged students.
  • Provide targeted support to enhance literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Collaborate with class teachers to monitor student progress.
  • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with primary-aged children, particularly in a 1:1 or small group setting.
  • Strong understanding of primary education, with experience in providing interventions in literacy and numeracy.
  • Experience with children who have SEN is highly desirable.
  • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to teaching.
  • A degree from a reputable UK university.
