Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled scientist with expertise in implementing large language models and artificial intelligence. The ideal candidate will have experience in natural language processing and be able to lead the development, training, and fine-tuning of a large language model. This position falls within our informatics team, which is a fast-growing team of diverse skill sets including data science, statistics, clinical informatics, and population health.

Responsibilities
  • Implement a private, large language model based on both structured and text-based data inputs
  • Integrate artificial intelligence to support a chatbot feature to interact with the LLM
  • Contribute to data architecture review, and support structural changes as needed
  • Support departmental process improvement initiatives
  • Participate in training and development of more junior team members
Qualifications
  • 1-2 years direct, post-graduate experience implementing a LLM -or- PhD dissertation implementing a LLM
  • Advanced computer programming skills (python or R)
  • Analytical thinker with great attention to detail
