Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled scientist to lead the development, training, and fine-tuning of a large language model. The ideal candidate will have direct experience implementing large language models with interactive artificial intelligence and skills in natural language processing.

This position falls within our informatics team, which supports advanced data queries, analyses, visualizations, and interactive platforms. The team is expanding its scope to support more operational initiatives with artificial intelligence-driven tools.

Responsibilities

  • Implement a private, large language model based on both structured and text-based data inputs
  • Integrate artificial intelligence to support a chatbot feature to interact with the LLM
  • Contribute to data architecture review, and support structural changes as needed
  • Support departmental process improvement initiatives
  • Participate in training and development of more junior team members

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years direct, post-graduate experience implementing a LLM -or- PhD dissertation implementing a LLM
  • Advanced computer programming skills (python or R)
  • Analytical thinker with great attention to detail
