Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled scientist to lead the development and implementation of a large language model with interactive artificial intelligence. The ideal candidate will have expertise in natural language processing and experience in training and fine-tuning large language models.

This position falls within our informatics team, which is a fast-growing team of diverse skill sets including data science, statistics, clinical informatics, and population health. The team supports advanced data queries, analyses, visualizations, and interactive platforms.

The scientist will be responsible for implementing a private, large language model based on both structured and text-based data inputs, integrating artificial intelligence to support a chatbot feature, and contributing to data architecture review. Additionally, the scientist will support departmental process improvement initiatives and participate in training and development of more junior team members.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a private, large language model based on structured and text-based data inputs
  • Integrate artificial intelligence to support a chatbot feature

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years direct, post-graduate experience implementing a LLM or PhD dissertation implementing a LLM
  • Advanced computer programming skills (python or R)
  • Analytical thinker with great attention to detail
