Shire Healthcare is seeking a HCPC registered Counselling Psychologist to work in a specialist Drug and Alcohol recovery service in Birmingham. Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Counselling Psychologist to join our multi-disciplinary team. As a Principal Psychologist, you will provide clinical leadership and contribute to the development of our trauma-informed service.

You will be responsible for providing psychological assessments and evidence-based interventions to service users focusing on recovery from substance use. The successful candidate will receive direct supervision from the Consultant Clinical Psychologist. With a salary range of £59,215 - £68,671 FTE, this is an attractive opportunity for experienced professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide psychological assessments and evidence-based interventions to service users
  • Contribute to the development of our trauma-informed service as a Principal Psychologist
  • Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality care

Requirements:

Suitable candidates will hold HCPC registration as Clinical, Counselling, or Forensic Psychologists and have experience working with substance misuse. Previous trauma experience is desirable.
