Job Summary:

The Copthorne Hotel Effingham Gatwick is seeking an experienced Night Manager to lead our Front Office team in delivering exceptional guest experiences and maximizing revenue. As a Night Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth operation of the hotel during night shifts, ensuring the safety and security of guests and staff, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assume the role of senior manager on duty during night shifts, demonstrating leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Ensure effective communication between day and night teams, promoting a seamless transition of duties.
  • Safeguard and administer the main DM safe and all monies during night shifts.
  • Train and develop Night staff, providing guidance and feedback to enhance their performance.
  • Demonstrate confidence and competence in emergency procedures, ensuring the hotel's safety protocols are upheld.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing guest concerns and queries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Oversee the smooth running of night audit requirements, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ensure the safe service of alcohol, adhering to hotel policies and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work night shifts, with a minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Proven experience in managing a front desk team and staff training.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and guests.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service, with a focus on guest satisfaction.
  • Good knowledge of health and safety protocols, with the ability to demonstrate confidence and competence in emergency procedures.
