Position Overview

Sawing Machine Technician (Night Shift)

Location: Stockport

Shift: Night Shift (22:00-06:00, Sunday to Thursday)

Training Schedule: Rotating Day Shifts (06:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00, Monday to Friday)

Compensation: £11.84 per hour during training, escalating to £13.53 per hour for night shifts.

We are actively seeking a full-time permanent Sawing Machine Technician on behalf of our client in the Poynton region. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently and safely operate sawing machinery
  • Manage materials and ensure accurate cuts in accordance with specifications
  • Perform maintenance on equipment and conduct routine inspections to guarantee optimal functionality
  • Comply with health and safety standards consistently
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve production goals

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with sawing machinery (preferred)
  • Experience with overhead gantry cranes (preferred)
  • Proficient numeracy and literacy skills
  • Basic understanding of measurements
  • Experience in manual labor (essential)
  • Strong attention to detail and a dedication to safety
